Documents for the Congo-Brazzaville need to be notarised, stamped at the UK Foreign Office with apostille and then stamped at the country’s consulate. For a guide to what an Apostille is, click here.
The FCO has two offices. The one at Milton Keynes, which handles postal applications only. You can visit their website here to complete the process yourself.
The current charges for Apostille using the postal method is set out here. Documents need normally to be signed by a notary before going to either FCO office.
The other FCO office is in central London and is open to notaries and registered businesses. The general public cannot go there, but notaries can take documents there on behalf of clients needing a swifter service.
