Documents that are required for use in Bahrain first need to be notarised by Notary Public and then legalised by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Apostille).
Documents previously needed to be stamped at the Bahrain consulate but as of 31 December 2013, an Apostille is all that is required.
This is because the Kingdom of Bahrain is a signatory to the Hague Convention on Apostilles.
